Unity puts on 3 performances a year - a pantomime, a play and a summer show.
Pantomime: A traditional family pantomime performed at Kingswood Theatre, Bath. From booing the baddies and cheering the goodies to the rush of order in-between show pizzas. It is fun for all!
The pantomime is performed around Christmas time and is comprised of singing, dancing and acting. With the structured rehearsals and good team spirit, Unity will have you performing a box step in no time.
Auditions for the pantomime are usually held in September, allowing members to audition for principle roles or to be part of our non-audition chorus roles. Principle roles include goodies, baddies, dames and comedy duos. Chorus roles can be anything from village people to animals of the woods.
If backstage is more you style, we have a large backstage crew which organise the staging, scene changes, lighting, sound, props and costumes.
Play: From traditional plays to the plays gone wrong. Unity performs a play of a different variety each year at spring time. The play is performed at St Barnabas Church, Bath.
With auditioning for parts to sorting out the stage, props, lighting and sound. There is something for everyone.
Summer show:
Unity performs a summer show from which can include singing songs from musicals, performing funny sketches and monologues to mini pantomimes all within the same show! This is again performed at St Barnabas Church, Bath and runs with the help of a backstage crew.
Our shows are open to all viewers and performers. You do not need prior experience
